Handstand Exploration: An Inversion Immersion
Handstands can be both exciting and unnerving. By understanding our sources of strength and balance, we can overcome this fear and spend time upside-down.
If you’ve never done a handstand, don’t fret! In the spirit of ahimsa (non-violence) and satya (honoring truth), any student can work within their level of comfort. We’ll look at slides to understand key muscle groups and techniques that assist in getting into handstand and staying there. We’ll then build strength and stability with a vigorous practice.
Students should be familiar with yoga (at least six months of a regular yoga practice) and without recent shoulder or wrist injuries.
