Handstand Frameworks: An Inversion Immersion

Handstands can both be exciting and unnerving. By understanding our sources of strength and balance, we can overcome this fear and spend time upside-down.

If you’ve never done a headstand, don’t fret! In the spirit of ahimsa (non-violence) and satya (honoring truth), any student can work within their level of comfort. We’ll look at slides to understand key muscle groups and techniques that assist in getting into a handstand and staying there. We’ll then build strength and stability with a vigorous practice. You’ll receive a digital copy of the sequence so you can practice anytime.

Students should be familiar with yoga (at least six months of a regular yoga practice) and without shoulder or wrist injuries.


Snoozefest: How to Practice for a Good Night’s Sleep
2:00 pm – 4:00 pm

Do you have a method to get to sleep? A quiet yoga practice and a nice perspective can help. In this workshop, we’ll discuss “sleep Hygiene” and ways to structure your evenings to encourage sleep, followed by a practice with Richard to get you into “rest and Digest” mode.

This all-levels practice is good for anybody who is looking for simple and effective ways to unwind in the evening.button_register-now
