Where is this training being held?

Frameworks Yoga believes that space matters. We’ve designed the program to feel beautiful and promote contemplative learning.

We’ll be spending 12 weekends at Sangha Center in downtown Beaver, PA. Sangha has been voted Beaver County’s Best of the Valley yoga studio for four years in a row, and it shows in the care taken in creating a beautiful space.

There will also be 20 online sessions throughout the year. These sessions will be part lecture, part practice, and followed by a Q&A.

In addition, I’ll host 20 online presentations on Tuesday evenings throughout the year. It will involve lecture, a practice, and Q&A. These sessions will be recorded, so if you cannot make it, you can watch it later. I’ll just need a write-up of what you learned during the lecture and practice so I know you’re up to speed.

Am I ready for this?

My primary teacher says a 200-hour program really is the tip of the iceberg in becoming a great teacher. Frameworks 300 does assume a solid foundation of Sanskrit, anatomy and movement. That’s why we offer all of our Frameworks Yoga 200 study materials to the 300-hour enrollees when we receive your deposit. You’ll be able to catch yourself up in no time.

Could I discuss the training with you?

Certainly! We’ve scheduled an Open House at Sangha Center on Sunday, May 22 at 11am . Come practice and let’s talk! Click below for details and to sign up.

If you can’t make it, let’s discuss your goals for a YTT. Schedule a chat using the Calendly scheduler below.

Full tuition: $3,900
Discounted tuition if paid in full by May 31, 2022: $3,700

What style of yoga is this?

Frameworks Yoga philosophy can be applied to any style. We have designed our core concepts to allow any teacher to transmit what is important to them with safety, grace and intelligence. If style is the art of yoga, our method is the engineering of it.

How much experience do I need?

At least one year of consistent practice is required. Teaching yoga previously is helpful but not needed.

Can I take this program if I’m injured? If I’m pregnant?

We encourage anybody passionate about teaching yoga to attend. The individual expression of the mental and physical practice of yoga can be celebrated by all. This inclusive training enables anybody to practice, and to guide a practice, regardless of abilities and limitations.

What if I can’t make a weekend?

Face-to-face time is of primary importance, and we’ve designed our program to make it fit into everyone’s schedule as best as we can.

Much of the program will be recorded. If a trainee misses a portion of the training, they need to review the material, practice any sequence on their own, and write a report to confirm understanding of the material. This applies for trainees who miss up to 24 hours.

For hours beyond 24, the trainee has the additional requirement of making up hours through private sessions, which is $90 per hour. Beyond 24 hours, every three hours of absence needs to be made up with 1 hour of private session. This will be required to graduate.

What are the requirements to graduate? How is it assessed?

In addition to completing the contact hours, trainees will need to do the following to graduate:

  • Design three sequences using Frameworks 300 techniques to demonstrate proficiency in sequencing.
  • Submit a video leading a 60 minute yoga sequence to demonstrate proficiency in communication, adjustments, modifications and prop use.
  • Complete on online test to demonstrate proficiency in study materials.
  • Create and teach an 8-10 hour yoga program and teach it as part of your karma yoga practice. This can be guided by your advocacy interests.

You’ll be provided with guidance and feedback so you can complete these requirements with confidence and accuracy.

Do I have to buy the manual or other books?

The manual is included in the cost of the training. Frameworks 300 requires you to have the following books (any edition):

  • Atlas of Human Anatomy by Frank H. Netter
  • Anatomy Trains by Thomas W. Myers
  • Light on Yoga by BKS Iyengar

These are reference books you’ll return to throughout your study and career.

We also have an extensive “recommended reading” list, but please don’t feel the need to buy all of these. I’m hoping to organize a group book-borrowing so the knowledge can spread without being financially prohibitive.

What do I do about parking?

There is street parking available around the studio at no cost.

Aside from the attendance hours, what else is required of me during the year?

A consistent self-practice is essential to embody the teachings and to strengthen both your practice and learning.

We will review the entire manual in class and there are recommended readings throughout the year. This will be included on the syllabus and sent with email reminders before each session.

Do I need a 200-hour Yoga Alliance certificate to attend Frameworks 300?

You don’t. Yoga Alliance (YA) is fine with yoga teachers earning a 300-hour before a 200-hour training. They have requirements regarding how you register with them, but it wouldn’t affect your ability to use Frameworks programs as training hours. YA does require you to register a 200-hour before a 300-hour.
